Most people today have internet access and many use email as a means of communication. You walk into a department store to make a purchase and you are asked for your email address so you can receive coupons and upcoming sale information. You probably delete hundreds of emails that are 'junk' emails, spam, or just not of interest. Then you visit your veterinarian and they ask for your email. Why would your veterinarian want your email address??
Suburban Animal Clinic does ask clients for their email addresses. We do not sell our email address lists. Rather we use them as a means of communication in today's electronic world.
- Appointment Reminders: We will email (and call) you to confirm your appointment a day or two in advance.
- Vaccination & Exam Reminders: As your pets' due dates approach, you will receive email reminders to schedule your appointment.
- Pet Portals: You may sign up for a pet portal using the email address we have on file for you. Pet Portals (VetStreet) allow you to do the following anytime day or night:
- View your pets' vaccination due dates and print them for kennels & groomers
- Receive reminders that your pets are due for vaccinations or exams
- Request prescription refills online to be picked up in the office
- Request an appointment-you tell us when and why and we will schedule your appointment and send a confirmation email with the date and time.
- Receive MedMinders-sign up to receive email reminder when your pet is due for monthly medication, such as heartworm prevention.
- Receive important information regarding pet health, medications, etc.
- Clinic News: Newsletters still go out via USPS quarterly, but news, updates, and specials are sent via email more often. You may even receive information or opportunities via email that others do not receive.
- Vets First Choice: An online store associated with Suburban Animal Clinic, the products are guaranteed and come directly from the manufacturers so we know they are legit and safe. Create an account using the email address we have on file for you, and order, pay for, and have your pets' medications shipped directly to your home.
- Keep in Contact: There are so many people and places you have to send your new address or phone numbers to, and often times people forget about the vet! A current email address helps us to be able to keep in contact with you when other methods fail.
Suburban Animal Clinic is striving to go green and keep up with an ever changing world in an effort to keep pet owners up to date so we can partner with them to keep pets healthy and happy. We not only communicate via email, but we also have a website full of information (www.suburbananimalclinic.com) and are also on Facebook. Check our website and blog often, and like us on Facebook to stay up-to-date on news and specials. You may also email us at info@suburbananimalclinic.com with comments, suggestions or questions.
Note: Clients are welcome to email us to request appointments, medication refills, or general questions regarding their pet. Please allow at least 24 hours for a response. All medications must be approved by a doctor once your email is received.
